Good response expected for Coffee Day Rally
Running concurrently with the FIA Asia Cup (December 11-13), the Coffee Day Rally, which also doubles up as the fourth and concluding round of the FMSCI Indian Rally Championship, is expected to attract sizeable entries.
Over the past two decades, the Coffee Day Rally has emerged as one of the most popular events in the National Championship calendar, never failing to secure at least 30 entries.
The salubrious climate in December besides the truly scenic setting of Chikmagalur which nestles in the lap of the heritage Western Ghats, have all combined to make the Coffee Day Rally a must-go event.
The Coffee Day Rally also occupies prime position in the social calendar of the region. The event has never failed to bring together huge, enthusiastic and knowledgeable crowds.
The Spectator Special Stage, run in the Ambey Valley school grounds with some spectacular backdrop, has always attracted crowds in excess of 10,000. The action on the track has always met the huge expectations of the spectators.
The dedicated team of Motor Sports Club of Chikmagalur is putting in great efforts to ensure that the 2015 event will raise the bar even more in terms of organization, safety and quality field.
Even as the officials of the MSCC deserve full praise, an equal measure of it should be extended to Café Coffee Day who have supported the event over the years, making it bigger, better and more exciting.
Indeed, a lot has happened over a cup of coffee! So, be there in December.
